Evolence Class Action Commenced - Nov, 2009

McPhadden Samac Tuovi have commenced a proposed class action against Johnson & Johnson and related companies relative to the collagen dermal filler Evolence. The Evolence claim involves people who were injected with Evolence and allegedly developed side effects that in some cases included disfiguring nodule formation.

Avandia Class Action Commenced - Aug, 2009

On behalf of two Mississauga, Ontario plaintiffs, McPhadden Samac Tuovi has commenced a proposed class action against GLAXOSMITHKLINE INC. and related companies ("GSK") relative to the drug Rosiglitazone which is widely used to lower blood sugar levels in people who suffer from Type II diabetes mellitus.  Rosiglitazone is marketed and sold by DSK under the brand names Avandia™, Avandamet™, and Avandaryl™.

Joffe and The Scarborough Hospital - Sexual Abuse Class Action launched - Apr, 2009

The law firm McPhadden Samac Tuovi has commenced a proposed class action against former doctor Jacobo Joffe and The Scarborough Hospital (“TSH”) on behalf of a former patient of the hospital and all other former TSH patients who allege they were sexually abused by Joffe while he was working for the hospital.
